Venus was Aphrodite in Greek mythology. Aphrodite is the goddess of beauty.

The planet is becoming the brightest object in the sky after the sun and moon. Therefore the most beautiful planet called Venus.

Here unique things about Venus:
1. Venus is the second closest planet from the sun.
Distance of Venus with the sun is 108.2 million km (0.72 AU). Orbit of Venus is between the orbits of Mercury and Earth.

2. Venus is often called Earth's twin planet.
Venus and Earth have some similarities. Venus approaching the size of the earth (95% the size of Earth). Both the planet has a lot of the same chemical composition and has several craters are still relatively young age.

Some people believe there is a possibility of life behind heavy clouds of Venus because of similarities with Earth. But until now there is no scientific proof that indicates life on Venus.

3. A long time ago Venus is considered as two different objects.
In the past Venus are known to have two names as the morning star (Eosphorus) and evening star (Hesperus).

4. Venus have no satellites
Until today no one object was found as a satellite of Venus.

5. There are a few spacecraft who already visited Venus.
Unmanned spacecraft who already visited Venus are Mariner 2, Pioneer Venus Pioneer Venus Orbiter and Multiprobe (Pioneer 12 & 13), and Magellan.
